Did you know that the Corner Community Park invested over $134,000 in the children of Corner and surrounding communities?  Your registration fees, fund raisers and donations make this investment possible and we are very grateful.   We want to thank you for your financial support as it allows us to complete the much needed improvements.  The following is a sampling of how your money was invested in the lives of our children.

  • We provided players with uniforms at a cost of $28,536.
  • We invested $1,200 by pouring a concrete floor on the 7/8 field batting cage.
  • We provided lights and water at a cost of $20,072.
  • We will be investing approximately $11,000 to replace three light poles and copper ground wire stolen from poles.
  • We made the Park safer by replacing the steps and platform next to the T-ball field at a cost of $4,400.
  • We paid over $17,000 to officials, umpires and referees.
  • We helped to stop the erosion of a major walkway by investing $650 for rock.
  • Sadly, we had to spend $15,534 to replace property stolen from the Park.
  • We invested over $6,000 for new equipment for our players and coaches.

Our Coca-Cola fund raiser was huge success.  The Park wishes to thank all of the players and their families that supported this much needed fund raiser.  Your cases of Coca-Cola products will be available for pick-up on Sunday, April 19th beginning at 1:30 PM.

Pictures of the players and teams will be made on this same Sunday afternoon.  Please visit the Baseball or Softball pages to see when your team reports for your photo session.

The last board meeting was held on May 2, 2009.  The 2008-2009 officers and commissioners have been nominated and elected by the board.  Please click HERE for a complete listing of the 2008-2009 officers and commissioners.    New Park Board members will be voted on at our upcoming Park Day.

The board is very proud of the recent renovations to the field #2 (7&8's) field and press box.  Corner hosted the 2008 8 year old district tournament and a great deal of effort went into improving the field.  New fencing was added to the home side.  Gravel was brought in around the bleachers.  The press box was painted by the 7 and 8 year old coaches.  The board is especially proud of the Corner "C" and yellow jacket painted on the press box by Amy Walker.  The "C" is visible as cars enter our park and it makes a great first impression!

The Corner Community Park is proud to work with its first corporate sponsor Land O' Frost.  Land O' Frost will be sponsoring approximately 10 of our baseball teams.  Their financial support is greatly appreciated.  Please visit the exclusive webpage linked below.  At this page, you can sign up for valuable coupons and free goods.  Each year, a gift will be given to children that register for their program.
